Responsibilities
Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. With the recent addition of the Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. The Center for Wound Care provides treatment for people with chronic non-healing wounds. This comprehensive wound-healing service includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Palmdale Regional Medical Center is active in the community and regularly participates with the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance, Chambers of Commerce and other civic and governmental groups. Palmdale Regional Medical Center believes in “Community Service Excellence” and supports nonprofit agencies such as the American Cancer Society, United Way, the Antelope Valley Boys and Girls Club and performing arts organizations. Essential Job Duties:
Under the supervision of the HR Director, this position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources initiatives, programs, policies and processes. Some of the areas of responsibility will include policy administration, employee relations, leave of absence, performance management, relationship-building, and professionally representing the Human Resources function within the PRMC facility.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of continuing advanced responsibilities in Human Resources service disciplines in an acute care setting or equivalent in a large organization; Preferred 1-3 years of direct experience in the Human Resources field.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
PHR/SPHR preferred
