As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by scheduling and sending emails, building email journeys and audience lists, using templates to create/update webpages, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and advocating for digital best practices. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of seven people in the Life Insurance division. This role would actively engage with creative services, IT, Salesforce and Market Cloud specialists, and data analysts to drive overall program efficiency and success.
How you will make an impact:
Day-to-day responsibility for scheduling, personalizing/formatting, versioning, proofreading, testing, and sending emails using various email distribution systems including Marketing Cloud
Collaborate with others on planning, building, testing, and releasing new and revised webpages for various websites
Be an advocate and help implement digital marketing best practices
Create reports of email tracking data and work collaboratively with data analyst to communicate key metrics including weekly, monthly and quarterly program performance as well as testing and heat map analysis to drive program optimization
Recommend new ideas and innovations to grow and improve email engagement / website traffic while optimizing contact strategies for overall file health
Advise Marketing Team and/or IT when issues arise on platforms, suggesting and implementing solutions when appropriate
Play a key role in learning and onboarding new email or web technologies
Troubleshoot and solve basic Marketing Cloud-specific issues
The experience you will bring:
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Certification required within 6 months of employment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
4-6 years of demonstrated marketing experience with high aptitude for technology and experience with email campaign or website management
Ability to build or edit email marketing campaigns using templates with basic email automations
Hunger for knowledge and increasing responsibility over time
Curiosity, self-motivation, and willingness to learn new systems and software are essential as this role assists with execution of key components of strategic marketing initiatives
Strong analytical abilities to analyze information and determine if strategies are effective in enhancing the overall user experience
Able to analyze and solve problems of a technical nature with little guidance
Experience communicating both marketing/business requirements as well as technical requirements in order to clearly explain business goals/problems
Able to work effectively in a team environment, building rapport and relationships
Excellent time management skills and ability to adapt to the ever-changing priorities
Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Positive attitude
What will make you stand out:
Familiarity with HTML, Litmus, Contentful, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), IBM WebSphere, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, AMPscript, SQL, responsive design, and Google Analytics is a plus
