Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator
Status: Exempt

Job Summary- Responsible for assisting in educating the healthcare community and public regarding the full spectrum of PACE of Southwest Michigan services
Community Outreach Responsibilities:
· Responsible for assisting the intake team in meeting budgeted goals for enrollment
· Acts as a representative of PACE of Southwest Michigan to the community through direct involvement, presentations, vendor fairs and other activities
· Identifies key personnel at existing and potential referral sources and making ongoing contact to build effective relationships
· Responsible for developing and sustaining referral relationships and will determine the most effective and efficient way for interfacing with each referral source
· Maintains schedule of regular on-site meetings with referral sources
· Maintains knowledge of entirety of PACE of Southwest Michigan’s offerings, programs and services and is able to educate referral sources, accordingly, based on specific needs
· Serves as referral source advocate by identifying needs and facilitates problem resolution
· Responds quickly to potential leads and flexes schedule as appropriate
· Develops an annual marketing plan to include all elements of advertising and outreach
· Maintains files and keeps database of referral sources’ staff names, preferences, and marketing history, as well as daily marketing activity and contacts.
· Compiles monthly outcome data and reports findings to leadership team
· Educates referral sources on PACE of Southwest Michigan capabilities, quality outcomes, comparisons to competitors, benefits, and services
· Cooperates with and supports PACE of Southwest Michigan intake and community outreach plan
· Assists with intake calls and schedules IC Visits to ensure prompt response to inquiries as requested
· Assists with onboarding responsibilities with Intake Coordinators
Marketing Responsibilities:
· Creates biannual newsletters to showcase PACE to our participants and community
· Manages and creates PACE website design and content
· Manages Facebook posts and advertising
· Creates or manages creation of print and digital advertising and direct mail
· Maintains inventory of PACE marketing collateral and giveaways
General Responsibilities:
· Completes annual education sessions to inform our contracted partners about PACE services
· Abides by all established PACE of Southwest Michigan policies, rules, and regulations
· All other duties as assigned
Skills and Knowledge
· Advanced communication skills and knowledge of community outreach/marketing practices
· Excellent analytical skills to plan marketing and community relation strategies for the organization
· Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to represent the organization to the community and media
· Discretion to establish priorities and handle situations that could have a significant adverse impact on the organization’s public relations efforts
· Working knowledge of Universal Precautions
· Typing skills with computer background necessary to effectively utilize computer software
· Excellent organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
· Willingness to accept additional responsibility
· Ability to work effective and in a collegial manner with all members of the Interdisciplinary Team
· Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds

Requirements:
Education: Associates Degree in Marketing, Sales, Community Outreach, or related field required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience: At least two (2) years’ experience in marketing or community outreach; Experience in health or community services preferred; Website management and CRM software experience preferred

Licensure, Registry, or Certification Required: Valid MI Driver’s License and Insurance
Special Training: Only acts within scope of practice. Meet a standardized set of orientation and/or individual competencies for the specific position description established by PACE of Southwest Michigan and approved by CMS before working independently.
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact.
Specific Requirements and Considerations: May be subject to exposure and handling of infectious waste, diseases, conditions, or hazardous chemicals, etc., including potential exposure to TB, AIDS, and/or Hepatitis B.
