Position Description:
The Assistant Controller provides direct support to the Senior Vice President of Finance, Human Resources, and Administration. This position performs the accounting for a growing federal government contractor by performing all day-to-day, monthly and year-end activities. This position supports other aspects of the company.
Minimum/General Experience: 5+ years’ experience in federal government contractor accounting and finance with a focus in government accounting and regulatory compliance; federal government contracting experience supporting and analyzing fixed firm price (FFP), time and materials (T&M), and Cost-Plus contract types.
Minimum Education: Bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent years of experience.

The Assistant Controller performs daily accounting functions using both cost accounting and government cost accounting principles (e.g., accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger (GL), payroll, taxes).
