The Ortho/Neuro/Trauma nurse works closely with the patient, their family, and the orthopedic or neurological team to ensure clear client education, a smooth recovery, and minimal complications. We are looking for an RN with impeccable communication skills to ensure the healthcare team is aware of patient needs and facilitate the appropriate follow-up
About this unit:
- 36 bed Ortho/Neuro/Trauma unit committed to the care of patients with orthopedica, neurological and or trauma conditions
- All RNs NIH certified
- Level II Trauma that sees average of 900 patients per month
Responsibilities:
- Under the general direction of the Nursing Director or Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.
- Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards.
Qualifications
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of
practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and
regulation. BLS required upon hire required. - Minimum one year prior Registered Nurse/RN experience required. Previous clinical experience in area of specialty preferred.
