We are looking to add an experienced Accountant to our dynamic Accounting team. This is a great opportunity to join a fun, fast-paced and growing company.

This position is remote within the Southern California area, as occasional work in the office may be required.

The Accountant position is responsible for performing the below duties in a timely and accurate manner:

• Oversee all Workers’ Compensation policy accounting functions, including, but not limited to setting up new policies and managing renewal and audit process.
• Complete all required annual state reports as needed.
• Manage PEO Licensing process for clients in all 50 states including researching state requirements and ensuring documentation is completed for compliance.
• Interface with service employees by providing them the needed information to assist them in gathering information from clients.
• Complete additional projects as assigned.
• Provide routine communication and updates with Director of Finance.

Requirements to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, financial or related field preferred
• Minimum of seven (7) years prior accounting/finance experience, preferably within PEO or construction industry.
• Prior experience with workers compensation policy setup and audit process preferred.
• Ability to complete projects independently in a remote environment during set work hours.
• Strong organization and time management skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and meet required deadlines
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Team player that embraces Optimum’s core values
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Intact experience a plus.
