Omni Hotels & Resorts Looking for Golf Starter/Marshall at Frisco, TX  Full Time

The PGA of America is moving to Frisco, Texas – the “2018 Best Place to Live in America” – where it will anchor a 600-acre, mixed-use, golf-centric development, including the golf club, future Omni resort and PGA headquarters. Currently under construction, the golf club will feature two championship golf courses, a 10-hole short course, a two-acre putting course and a 37-acre practice facility. The future two-story clubhouse will offer golfers and guests alike a 19th hole restaurant, private dining on the second floor overlooking the fairways, upscale lounges and locker rooms and a golf shop designed to entice all levels of fans from PGA tournament players to weekend golfers and other enthusiasts.

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking a friendly Golf Starter/Marshall to join the opening team of our brand-new luxury resort and golf club. Opening in the spring of 2023, Omni Frisco PGA Resort will provide north Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment.

This team member will be responsible for starting golfers from the first tee and keeping golfers informed of rules, regulations, and course conditions.

To perform the duties of greeting, starting, club cleaning, picking range balls from the practice facility, and transferring clubs to various locations
• Participate in daily communication stand-up meetings
• Assist the coordination of outside services for golf tournaments
• Ensure consistent presentation according to Omni Hotels standards
• Assist with the protection of all assets including security of the guest’s golf clubs and rental clubs
• Responsible for providing continuous detailing and maintenance to the golf course equipment and facility (e.g. golf carts, workstation, practice range, emptying trash receptacles, etc…)

• Must play golf and have working knowledge of the game
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds of golf clubs/buckets of practice balls
• Must be able to operate a golf cart
• Must be able to work alone as well as work well with others
• May be subjected to adverse conditions – rain, wind, sun, extreme heat and cold
• Must be able to operate Golf Cart, Range Picker, GPS and Hand Radio
