About Olson Precast of Arizona

We are a private locally owned company that is both a manufacturer and sub-contractor in the underground wet utility market. We produce, deliver, and construct concrete structures for sewer, drainage, water, and water retention systems for subdivision, commercial, and highway projects.

Job Summary

In this position, you will schedule small construction crews and delivery trucks on a daily basis to complete the jobs that our customers either call in or email in what they need. You will be working in a Microsoft Access software system that has all the job information that the customer is requesting.

Work Environment

You will be working in a small team of people to schedule the work and you will be focusing on a specific scope of the job, but will be trained on all areas that we perform work on. You will be communicating with customers and vendors to create the schedule and will have support from our production team and fleet management team for the products and truck availability.

Ideal Candidate

Seasoned in the work force with experience in one of the following: construction materials, construction, logistics, dispatching service crews, routing deliveries. We are looking for people that would like to move into management and have the ability to communicate will both verbally and in emails. In addition this candidate must have a strong desire for attention to detail. Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset.

Logistics Scheduler Tasks:

• Coordinate with Management, Sales and Contractors to create and maintain calendar for project implementation to completion.
• Identify and anticipate schedule disparities and correct or report to Management for assistance.
• Manage 4-6 crews on 2-3 jobs per day each.
• Responsible for the daily management of construction crews, including distribution of work, performance management and training recommendations.
• Provide feedback on current scheduling templates, develop new procedures for scheduling, routing and vendor order placing.

Logistics Scheduler Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years in the scheduling/routing/dispatching field in either construction or transportation.
• Must have the ability to read a tape measure and can convert feet to inches easily and vice versa.

• Strong interpersonal skills and love working in a challenging & collaborative environment.
• Have the ability to quickly adapt to changing customer needs.
• Possess the DRIVE to coordinate and monitor construction activities and resource allocation to ensure profitability of projects.
• Must have the ability to provide real-time scheduling guidance and communication to construction teams and management.
• Must complete assessment and score within range.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
