Office of Second Judicial District Attorney Looking for IT Applications Developer at Albuquerque, NM Full Time

The Office of the Second Judicial District Attorney improves the quality of life of the citizens of Bernalillo County by reducing crime through thoughtful enforcement of the law and the development of a criminal justice system. As a result, the Office is seeking applicants for an IT Applications Developer within the Crime Strategies Unit in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: This position requires strong skills and knowledge in the areas of code, software architecture, and software development; the ability to create an application and data infrastructure to support the Crime Strategies Unit; to develop scripts and applications to support the Office and create new applications to improve existing processes. Must be able to code; write scripts and code to improve processes, make requests for internal data feeds, attend meetings with vendors, write documentation for systems and infrastructure. Will develop data capture applications, dashboard applications, infrastructure for deployment of applications, and tools to improve processes within the Office including manage web infrastructure operations, triage and fix operational issues, execute all programming tasks, set-up and maintain all coding environments.

• Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or similar technical degree. 0-2 year’s experience in a similar field.

• Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) years’ work experience and/or education in a similar field.

• Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. Some physical effort and travel may be required.
