Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Systems Engineer, Senior to support the Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PdM FPS) System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Support and Sustainment Engineering.
The Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) for PM-FPS task order shall provide support for program management, engineering, cyber security, logistics, operations, acquisition management, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), financial management support and administration support. IAW the corresponding Performance Work Statement (PWS) which defines the program, engineering, and technical support services required for PM-FPS. FPS manages a dynamic and diverse portfolio of critical warfighting capabilities that require cohesive and innovative total life cycle systems management approaches to rapidly respond to the needs of the Force balanced by affordable sustainment strategies. Due to the schedule-driven nature and criticality of solutions to the Warfighter, a cohesive strategy for rapid assessments, evaluation, fielding, New Equipment Training (NET), sustainment, and continuous product improvement activities are essential to FPS support strategy to its customers. This effort establishes the requirement to provide Acquisition, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, and Logistics, as required, to assist FPS as the Total Life cycle Systems Manager.
This is a full-time position at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Provides scientific oversight and technical knowledge in the area of C5ISR development.
- Works closely with the product manager, functional support, and IPT(s) to accomplish product goals.
- Serves as a technical expert on executive level project teams and lead technical working groups to support product development.
- Conducts systems engineering management activities.
- Assists in development of risk management efforts.
- Provides expert support, analysis, and research on exceptionally complex problems including technical direction, interpretation, and alternative solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret security clearance
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university
Years of Experience: 10 years of applicable engineering experience preferably in a DoD acquisition program office or similar organization OR,
- Master’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university 8 years of applicable engineering experience preferably in a DoD acquisition program office or similar organization
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree
Preferred Experience: Engineering support experience for the current PM FPS PoRs and QRCs.
