The IT Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining and servicing hardware and software for the organization. The primary duties include maintenance of hardware, software updates, and related system tasks, in addition to helpdesk ticket handling. All duties must be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans Behavioral Mission, policies and procedures and Performance Improvement Standards.

Education / Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, related field of study with a hardware and software focus or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of Active Directory, Virtualization, Cloud computer services, software and hardware. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and service hardware and software. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet sources. A self-starter able to work independently, but comfortable in a team environment. O365, VMWare, Active directory, remote service tools, desktop imaging, backup and application support experience. Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time for project work, service and new acquisitions. Understanding HIPAA regulations and its impact in a healthcare environment.

Work Environment:
Subject to multiple interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This is a high paced position and can be stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. This person might sometimes experience disagreeable odors, sights and/or unpredictable patient behavior. Work requires spending 90% of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. May be required to travel to locations over multiple days, in and out of state.
