NOV Looking for Structural Engineer at Houston, TX Full Time

Applicant will be responsible for structural engineering aspects of solar racking systems within the Engineering group of NOV Renewables. This will include design, development, analysis, sales support, and other relevant structural, seismic, weather and wind loading tasks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete structural design calculations for solar racking structures for project submittal and product development purposes.
• Perform analyses of structural elements for solar racking using classical hand and computer methods.
• Manage, develop, and improve engineering processes and project automation tools.
• Layout and design assigned tasks within a major project.
• Verify and check drawings and layouts.
• Give direction to designers and drafters.
• Provide engineering functions at lower and/or higher skill levels to accomplish projects.
• Manage, develop, and improve engineering processes and project automation tools.
• Develop application information for proposals on all product lines.
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Complete structural design calculation sets for project permitting meeting US and other building codes.
• P.E. or S.E. licensure highly preferred.
• Solar Experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP2000, SAFI, L-Pile, PV Case, PV Sys, etc. is a benefit.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

• Bonus pay

• SAP2000, SAFI, L-Pile, PV Case, PV Sys, etc: 1 year (Preferred)
• Solar: 1 year (Preferred)
• Structural Design: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
