Metro IT Support Technician Job Description
Job location: Metro Early College High School
Minimum Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues
- Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support
- Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources
- Update customer data
- Walk customers through problem solving process
- Follow up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
- Utilize excellent customer service skills
- Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure
- Recommend procedure modifications or improvements
- Preserve and grow knowledge of help desk procedures, products and services
- Operate efficiently to conclude on site installation, repair, maintenance and test activities
- Team up with colleagues and pass on important information
- Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles
- Utilize asset management to track equipment being checked in / out to students / teachers and out for repair, etc.
- Other duties, as assigned
Example of daily duties:
- First line of contact for in-person customers and tickets
- Audit technology (i.e. loaner computers, test equipment)
- Troubleshoot audio visual issues within classrooms
- Image computers (Macs and iPads)
- Assist with asset management, as needed, creating asset tags, labeling, counting, etc.
- Gather and prepare equipment disposal/recycle
- Keep the technology room organized, equipment charged and ready for deployment
Compensation: Parttime- $20.00 per hour
