NITROcrete Looking for Planning & Logistics Specialist at Fort Collins, CO Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

Position is responsible for overseeing the supply and transportation of cryogenic gasses across North America. This includes forecasting demand, monitoring inventories, coordinating with suppliers, and managing drivers and transportation resources. Position will be responsible for evaluating market and project supply requirements with the input from his/her Dispatcher and Planner, and determining the most cost effective and efficient supply sources and transportation resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and manage overall logistical, materials and transportation strategies in line with the department and leadership goals and vision.
• Ensure the department and team execute on existing bulk distribution services (BDS) in the markets the company operates and services while planning and managing company growth, costs and profitability in Bulk Transportation, 3rd Party Carriers and Brokered Freight business channels.
• Oversee all internal and contract driver resources related to the supply of liquid nitrogen for both concrete cooling and pumping locations
• Manage and assist planners and dispatchers, ensuring that liquid nitrogen usage and supply needs are being monitored and that resources are directed timely and efficiently
• Maintain effective and timely flow of communications with regional management, customers and gas suppliers to ensure product usage is forecasted and deliveries are executed.
• Coordinate delivery needs with gas suppliers’ logistics teams, allocating internal resources to areas where suppliers cannot meet demand
• Coordinate with third party cryogenic transportation companies to develop contingency nitrogen delivery options for challenging sites and markets
• Develop new and improve upon existing procedures to streamline the nitrogen monitoring, planning and scheduling process
• Oversee and manage fixed assets tied to the company’s vehicles and transportation department
• Supervise internal team of drivers, managing and assisting with hiring, training and day to day scheduling
• Oversee company DOT program, ensuring that policies and procedures are in place and adhered to
• Manage internal fleet vehicles and transportation equipment, ensuring that fleet is maintained and efficiently utilized
• Assist with managing the transportation of equipment to and from projects
• Drive safety initiatives throughout organization
• Performs other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly and indirectly supervises up to 15 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a related field with at least 6-8 years of supply chain, logistics and transportation experience. Experience with managing drivers, transportation assets and DOT programs is strongly preferred.

Language

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret supply agreements, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, suppliers, and the general public.

Mathematical

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

MS Office Software (Strong Excel skills required), Inventory Management Systems, ERP Systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
