Overview
Overview of Business Savings and Membership Opportunity – Gain insight into department-wide strategic planning, change management, and other operational programs. Assist in support of strategic data analysis, automation of processes, report generation, process mapping and other duties as assigned. Provide focused support to Business Financial Risk, Business Governance, Business Payments and Deposits and Business Channel Support based on team priorities. May perform additional responsibilities unique to the assigned business unit such as Reporting, Process Mapping and supporting other strategic initiatives.
Business Fraud & Risk (BFR) focuses on Fraud Mitigation and Risk related to all Business Accounts, Applications and Business Membership Issues. We work the daily risk reviews, member concerns, application reviews, CIP/KYB with clear and concise policies and procedures. BFR works multiple different fraud mitigation reports daily preventing loss, protecting Navy Federal and our Business Members. BFR partners within Navy Federal, Security, Savings & Checking, Branch, Contact Center, Lending, OGC and Compliance. Bringing an interactive approach and working together to reach all our goals. The Internship Program will assist BFR in working real time reports, preventing loss, stopping fraud, completing administrative closures. Assisting in developing expanding tools for case management, reporting, and data analysis; to help the BFR program to meet our evolving needs and goals.

Responsibilities
* Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
* Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
* Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
* Present data findings from research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
* Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing internal customer service and deliverables as priority
* Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
* Evaluate and measure effectiveness of internal programs
* Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
* Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
* Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
* Ability to adapt to new technologies
* Effective skill in the use of MS Office Products; specifically Excel and Visio
* Effective skill in data analytics and process automation
* Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
