Summary:

As the Lab Technician, you will perform various electrical, electronic, and mechanical tests on Master Appliance and competitive products and components and reports findings. Lab Technicians perform various duties to determine that materials, products, and processes conform to specifications and requirements. You will also conduct quality control audits, work directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues, and repair product return for warranty or service repairs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform testing on Master Appliance’s products per Certification Agency Standards.
• Provide customized product testing support per applicable standards and Master engineering specifications. Maintain test files and logs and write test reports. Record test results on standardized forms and write test reports describing results & procedures used.
• Conduct monthly audits of Master Appliance’s products, verifying conformity to the established specifications and standards.
• Maintain Quality Control Manual & Procedures. Work with suppliers as required to resolve quality issues. Repair product returned for warranty or service repair. Maintain repairs database.
• Maintain lab equipment. Make recommendations for lab improvements. Maintain lab & production equipment calibration & calibration logs.
• Conduct new product and development testing as required. Work on new product development projects as assigned.

• Other projects or responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electrical/Electronics Associate Degree from a recognized Technical College or five years of relevant experience.
• Mechanically inclined as this is a technical position. Working knowledge of or experience in manufacturing & basic assembly techniques is highly desirable.
