Summary
Mount Snow Child Care is looking for Lead Teachers and Assistant Teacher to implement and support developmentally appropriate curriculum in our five classrooms ranging from infants through preschool. Teachers are responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinateing curriculum and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classrooms. Lead Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Lead Teachers must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, have effective teaching teams and have strong daily communication with families. Assistant Teachers will support Lead Teachers in the classroom with all of these responsbilities. Lead Teachers & Assistant Teachers will ensure a healthy classroom environment and all center policies and state regulations are met. Flexibility, patience, excellent team skills, positive attitude and great guest service is required. Other duties as assigned.
Duties
All aspects of working with young children, including
- Supervising play
- Implementing daily activities
- Diapers/Toileting
- Naptime
- Chores to maintain the classroom, toys, and materials
Requirements
- Assistant Teachers must meet the requirements of at least a Teacher Assistant outlined by Vermont’s Child Care Licensing Regulations.
- Certified in Infant/child CPR & First Aid within 3 months of beginning employment
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
