Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) looking for Student Services Coordinator at Milwaukee, WI  Full Time

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as the front-line customer service specialist.  Responsible for:
  • Front line customer service on the main phone line and at front counter
  • Manage the office’s general email accounts by responding and/or directing to appropriate staff
  • Transcript processing via Parchment
  • Preparing enrollment verifications and processing various forms for students
  • Assisting students with registration—dropping and adding courses, registering new students, etc.
  • Processing administrative drops and withdrawals
  • Processing degree verifications via the Student Clearinghouse
• Communicate policy and procedure information to the campus community via email.
• Data entry of various data points and student information.
• Assist with various quarterly processes such as grading and the academic status processing.
• Assist with supervision of the work study students.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and administrative experience required
• Experience working in a college setting or with student academic records preferred.
• Experience working with Jenzabar or other student information system preferred.
• Exceptional knowledge of Word, Excel and databases
• Outstanding customer service including verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and organize tasks effectively
• Functions well both independently and as a team member
• Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner
• Ability to apply FERPA criteria to various requests for information

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before others. Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral form.
• Ability to use numbers to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is largely sedentary, the ability to move is required. The employee is occasionally required to traverse within their work area as well as other areas on campus.

Work Environment

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
