A Quality Control Technician job in Temecula, CA. is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. You will perform an in-process and final inspection of insulated glass units, windows, and doors according to established inspection checklists, along with assisting production in identifying the root cause of defect trends and recommending corrective action as appropriate. You should have two-plus years of experience in a related Quality role in a manufacturing environment. Quality Control Technician job responsibilities include:
• Performs in-process and final inspection of insulated glass units, windows, and doors following established inspection checklists.
• Collects, prepare, and analyze data for corrective action and process improvement.
• Reports problems and issues to supervisor and production management.
• Reviews reject and defect trends with production supervisors.
• Perform process audits of equipment setup and conditions to ensure process controls are observed.
• Calculates quality scores from inspection and audit results for use in Milgard Performance System (MPS).
• Adheres to all facets of safety policies and procedures.
• Make recommendations for problem containment and/or corrective action to produce leads and supervisors.
• Perform process audits of equipment setup and conditions to ensure process controls are observed.
• Assist production in identifying the root cause of defect trends. Recommend corrective/containment action as appropriate.
Qualifications:
• Two plus years of related experience in manufacturing in a quality role.
• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Basic understanding of the DMAIC process and common tools
• Understanding of manufacturing value stream from receiving to shipping
• Ability to Interpret engineering drawings
• Able to Lift and carry over 75 pounds, unassisted
