The Game Creator Services (GCS) team is looking for a Principal Product Manager that is passionate about the end-to-end game creator experience. Our mission in GCS is to empower game creators, with the cloud, to accelerate building cross-platform experiences that increase in-game engagement and monetization.? Achieving this requires that developers and game operators have access to scalable and reliable services that are not only easy to integrate and allow them to deliver their game to any player on any platform but that also provide them with the business insights and tools to increase player acquisition, retention, and monetization.? ?

The candidate will possess a technology and product management background. Your main area of focus will be in Game Creator AI, Data and Analytics and LiveOps services space. In this role you will be responsible for defining and delivering integrated experiences and products for game creators across a number of different personas across every platform in every region of the world. You will work with product managers and internal engineering teams to understand the end-to-end scenarios typically faced by our customers, design solutions, and play a central role in bringing more games and game developers to the Microsoft platform. You will build a understanding of the experience of our creators today and design systems in collaboration with engineering teams that operate efficiently and at scale, catering to the needs of customers delivering different games of different size and scale across different devices, and to multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/program management
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience delivering products in highly matrixed organization OR for games or creator related workloads
• 1+ years experience working within the game developer or game operator domain, including engines, build pipelines, cloud developer infrastructure or the like.
• 3+ years experience working in cloud related service/product building including authoring strategy, build out of total addressable market modeling and crafting successful go to market strategies

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated collaboration and partnership abilities, with a proven track record of driving results across teams
• Demonstrated experience in successfully designing, delivering, and iterating on complex projects with a diverse set of stakeholders
• Prior experience designing and developing cloud services (like Azure or AWS ) at scale?

Product Management IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 – $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 – $282,200 per year.

Responsibilities

• Developing product strategy and associated roadmaps.?
• Driving and delivering product strategies from ideation to launch. This includes understanding customer needs, crafting product requirements, collaborating with design and engineering teams, building a business model with costs to operate and potential returns as well as ensuring the successful rollout of features.?
• Resolving complex problems that require alignment of cross-organizational strategy and securing commitment beyond your immediate team.
• Using insights derived from various disconnected data sources – such as different customer segments, broader market and industry trends, competitive analysis and direct customer feedback – to inform product development and enhancements.?
• Creating and maintaining internal and external product documentation and related artifacts to help drive customer adoption.?
• Working with top-tier and passionate engineering, product, and technical teams to provide customer insights, product direction, inspiration, and project execution and release.?
• Owning product metrics, indicators for success and reporting such as OKRs, executive reviews, and using them to provide strategic communication about your products.
