Job Description:
Microchip is seeking a skilled and motivated Semiconductor Silicon Device Engineering Intern, to work with the manufacturing parametric test function. Our primary role is to keep parametric test systems operational. This is accomplished through in-line and offline electrical characterization, reviewing test structure designs and parametric trends, and identifying systemic process issues.
In this role, you will work closely with Microchip’s Parametric Test Group in Chandler, AZ, and will gain exposure to Manufacturing Operations in Tempe and Gresham, Yield Enhancement, Foundry Support, and Process Development teams. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of technologies, including CMOS, bipolar, and high-voltage LDMOS device parametric test development and maintenance, using a variety of measurement platforms. You will be empowered to work independently and cooperatively with test engineering personnel.
You will interface directly with a variety of engineering teams in the USA and overseas to ensure consistency of approach and methods, and as such demonstrable confidence and verbal fluency in the English language is required. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and have experience in comprehending large data sets from disparate sources. It is expected that you will be self-motivated to drive improvement, able to pro-actively communicate with employees at all levels, be willing to challenge the status quo, and feel comfortable working in a demanding manufacturing environment.
