MediaRadar Looking for Accounting Manager at Remote Full Time

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play an integral role in leading the finance organization of a rapidly growing SaaS company. You will be the go-to-person in Accounting and manage the day-to-day activities of the Accounting Department. You will lead a small, collaborative finance team, and be responsible for overseeing accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure reporting is compliant with GAAP and company guidelines. You will participate, manage and oversee the close process to ensure accurate and timely financial closes. The ability to be hands-on and actively support the accounting team with day-to-day tasks is critical in this role, and the ability to work well with others and manage multiple projects is required. Additional responsibilities include:

• Oversee, and participate in, financial reporting, workpaper preparation, and lead the core accounting tasks (G/L, A/P, A/R, invoicing, customer contract maintenance, etc.)
• Ensure that the appropriate accounting and internal control policies, procedures and practices are implemented and adhered to
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end and annual close process in accordance with GAAP and company requirements
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis and data trends on the P&L
• Lead and support the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including staff supervision and development.
• Evaluate and continually enhance accounting systems, policies and procedures to ensure best practices that allow MediaRadar to scale through high-growth
• Assist with audit preparations and engagements to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Gather requested documentation and assist in sales tax-related filings
• Build strong working partnerships with internal teams, external vendors, and customers
• Assist and support in special projects as-needed

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in finance or accounting or commensurate experience required.
• Expert knowledge of US GAAP, and the ability to perform technical accounting research as-needed.
• A blend of public accounting and private company experience. A CPA designation is a plus.
• 7+ years of accounting experience combined with 2-4 years in a management role with at least 2 direct reports.
• Small to mid-sized company experience (Annual Revenue of $30m – $200m) – preferably from a SaaS/technology background.
• Attention to detail is a must!
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
• Expert level Excel skills including the use of Pivot tables and V-Lookup functionality.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce, NetSuite and Avalara preferred.
