Summary:
Request quotes for transportation from freight carriers to ship MCR Oil Tools products by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reads and understands sales orders to determine quantity of items (crates) and type of transport to be scheduled.
· Picks and packages orders in specific crates in order to secure tools to be shipped.
· Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information.
· Contacts carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for loading products.
· Requests freight quotes to secure best rate for each service level.
· Annotates shipping orders to inform shipping department of loading location and time of arrival of transportation.
· Performs other clerical tasks such as maintaining and entering data into freight tracker, emailing correspondence with Sales and other members of the MCR Oil Tools Team, and maintaining electronic files and shipping documents.
· Must be available to coordinate afterhours “Hotshot” deliveries.
· Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
· College or technical school – certificate preferred; 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; Equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
§ At least 1 to 3 years of experience working in a shipping or warehouse environment is necessary.
§ MAS 500 or other enterprise accounting system knowledge.
§ Strong organizational skills are essential.
§ Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
§ Must be able to operate a forklift.

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
