McGraw Hill is seeking aProduct Designerto help us create next generation digital learning experiences for our K-12 Intervention program. We’re looking for someone who can develop innovative solutions, brainstorm, and translate high-level visions into compellingprint anddigital experiences. This is currently a remote position, and the role will be filled as a 12-month contract.
What you will be doing:
* Creating visually engaging, user friendly, print, and digital designs that align with product strategy and goals.
* Developing the design rationale and explaining visual choices to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
* Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to develop engaging print and digital product design solutions
* Collaborating on the media asset (illustrations, photography, videos, animations) strategy based on research inputs and content strategy. Clearly articulate choices to cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
* Delivering designs on time and within budget
* Training and managing vendors to help scale our work
* Advocating for the user throughout product development
Desired Requirements & Experience
* BA or formal design degree or related field required
* 3+ years of work experience with web and/or print visual design
* Expert knowledge of Adobe CC programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
* A portfolio demonstrating strong visual sensibilities, compelling ideas, and a thorough understanding of design process
* Understanding web standards and technologies, including CSS, HTML.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
