McGraw-Hill School Education, the leading provider of print and digital educational materials for Grades K-12, is looking for a Mid-Atlantic (Maryland, Virginia, and DC) K-12 District Sales Manager. Here’s what you will get to do:
* Drive K-12 core, intervention and specialized market sales revenue through leading/coaching a team of sales professionals.
* Travel with sales team to support development and implementation of sales plans and strategies.
* Establish effective working relationships with key educational officials and other VIP’s in your territory.
* Demonstrate effective personnel management. Hire, train, motivate and manage assigned Sales Reps.
* Develop and allocate regional sales goals/expense budgets accurately and appropriately to sales staff.
* Forecast regional sales results and inventory needs regularly and accurately.
* Provide ongoing feedback to internal stakeholders on product needs, market conditions, promotional activities, business opportunities, sales trends, and competition strategies/activities.

Required Skills:
* 5+ years current knowledge, experience, success in K-12 educational sales
* Experience and understanding of educational technology environment – technical integration into current curriculum/assessment models at district level
* Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite, web based presentation tools, sales contact management systems (SalesForce.com)
* Ability to analyze/forecast sales, manage/deploy sales budget, maximize ROI
* Previous success in building/managing a team; strong training/development skills
* Proven results in market research driven knowledge creating industry leading product development
* Desire to extensively travel territory developing sales team and key customers to determine their needs
* Reside within MD, VA or DC
* Bachelor’s degree
* Position involves overnight travel; up to 70% travel
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs
