CAD Technician – Remote
Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc. (MFA) is seeking a full-time CAD Technician to work on projects related to site redevelopment, water resources, port development, solid waste, mining, industrial development, and remediation. This is a chance to push your CAD career to the next level by really owning the CAD experience at MFA.
As a CAD Technician you will be responsible for project-based work: assisting with the production of engineering plan sets and figures; interpreting redline markups and updating CAD sheets; and assisting colleagues with CAD-related questions and issues. You will also get a chance to provide training on CAD techniques and software; manage the development and maintenance of CAD standards; coordinate with the engineering staff on testing new products, processes, and standards; develop and expand MFA’s expertise in CAD applications (with emphasis on Autodesk products); and participate in team meetings.
To thrive in this role, you must have…
- AA degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) or similar training.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Interest in working in the civil/environmental consulting industry.
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Able to formulate and clearly communicate ideas, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work both independently with little guidance and within a collaborative group environment.
- Dedication to client deadlines and willingness to work to meet deadlines as necessary.
- Knowledge of CAD standards used in the A/E industry.
- Experience with Bluebeam a plus!
