Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving 1,250 students. OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We have immediate openings for Elementary Specialists who can teach classes and support students in a specific grade at Match Community Day, our PreK-5 elementary school located on 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park. The hours for these positions are 7:10-4:30.
Given the complex needs of our students related to the Covid pandemic, we are hiring an extra teacher at each upper grade level to increase our capacity to meet the needs of all learners. The Elementary Specialist will deeply know all students in a grade level, the content being taught in each class, and then add supplemental support for our students based on the need. The supplemental support could be: providing differentiated lessonsto students in intervention groups; co-teaching in a class; or acting as lead teacher for the day if a teacher is out. The Elementary Specialists daily schedule is set in coordination with the Upper Elementary Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Grade Level Team. The Elementary Specialist reports to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
The salary range $66,000-$96,000, depending on prior teaching experience.
Elementary Specialists may be responsible for:
Acting as an essential part of a grade-level team to meet the needs of our students on any given day;
Co-teaching or providing small group instruction within classrooms (core content) for a specific grade level
Facilitating intervention groups (i.e. Orton-Gillingham, Lively Letters, math)
Ensuring that instructional quality remains excellent by providing coverage for lead teachers when teachers are absent
Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;
Participating actively in Matchs coaching and professional development programming; and
Serving as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community
QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for applicants who:
have three or more years of experience as an elementary school teacher, ideally in an urban setting;
Have prior experience planning and running intervention groups;
hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire;
have a desire to continually improve their practice by taking and implementing feedback; have a proven record of student success and achievement;
believe that all students can and will succeed; and
demonstrate an ability to work well on a team, and a willingness to support others in doing their best work.
