Marvel Marketers is searching for an HR Manager to lead and execute on strategic initiatives and HR needs of a global remote organization while partnering with our HR Director. . As a point of contact for HR matters, you will have a direct impact on maintaining the corporate culture. This position requires relationship building and partnering with the management team, sound judgment in all HR-related issues, and the ability to proactively improve HR functions and processes in line with overall company strategy.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partner with the HR Director and leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource strategy and needs.
Maintaining all HRIS systems – ensuring accurate employee, benefits, payroll, and other HR data across platforms and systems.
Lead and manage employees’ employment journey from onboarding to separation, managing processes, documentation, and compliance.
Lead & manage the execution of training, career development plans & professional development progress, and impact.
Be a trusted advisor for employee relations, helping, guiding, and answering questions relating to their employment, compensation, benefits, policies, procedures and vacation among others.
Manage, monitor, and respond to Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Indeed & other similar social media platform entries according to the HR Director’s strategy increasing Social Media ratings & scores.
Execute HR/company onboarding session with employee and coordinate introductory meeting with hiring manager, as well as onboarding training.
Manage, review and run payroll cycles according to the payroll schedule for all regions/locations.
Complete new hire data entry into designated systems and ensure new hire completes all required documents, including but not limited to direct deposit, tax and eI-9 Form and required documentation.
Ensure that personnel and payroll actions comply with federal law, civil service rules and agency policies. Ensure that proper authorization is obtained for all actions and that proper documentation is maintained.
Respond to HR- and Payroll-escalations by proposing a solution to the issue
Assist management in identifying and implementing process improvements
Recommend job-related policies and guidelines, while recommending new process improvements and enhancements for efficiencies and scalability.
Train personnel when new processes are deployed
Perform all other duties as assigned
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum 7 years experience in Human Resources.
PHR or SPHR certification is A+
Ability to work with and communicate effectively with internal and external customers (i.e. other departments and 3rd party vendors)
Able to take ownership and resolve challenging situations with the good judgment to know when to appropriately escalate matters as needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly focused attention to detail
High level of integrity, credibility, and customer service orientation
Excellent problem solving, time management, reporting, data analysis/interpretation, and data manipulation skills
Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Ability to understand and explain complex policies and guidelines
Ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments, and to quickly adapt to unfamiliar tasks for appropriate decision making, especially in the area of process improvements
