A little about this position:

• The Engineering Manager will ensure the effective operation of the Engineering/Maintenance Department and the Safety and Security of the hotel.

• The Engineering Manager will directly manage staff and perform general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including but not limited to; carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, painting, etc.

• Prioritize work orders through urgent requests and established hotel area down times in order to minimize inconveniencing guests.

• An effective interaction with all department managers is required.

• Respond to guest room calls as required.

• Complete any and all assigned preventative maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

• 3 + years in Hotel Engineering/Maintenance experience preferred.

• High School Education or GED preferred.

• Appropriate technical schooling beneficial.

• 3-5 years hands-on experience working with electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC troubleshooting, blueprint reading and other related craft experience.

• Ability to obtain or maintain and government licenses, certificates or permits.

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

• Must be able to work well with all members of the Engineering Department and all other members of the Hotel Staff.

• Must promote a cordial and caring attitude toward all other department heads.

• Highly motivated self-starter.

• Experience in all phases of mechanical/electrical systems.

• Appropriate technical schooling would be helpful.

• Blueprint reading.

• Ability to communicate with hotel guests.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software.

Pay: $64,480.00 – $86,000.00 per year
