Mall of America looking for Security Traffic Control Associate at Bloomington, MN  Full Time

$16 an hour

PURPOSE: To ensure effective traffic flow throughout Mall of America’s parking lots and ramps.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Direct vehicles throughout Mall of America as instructed by Security Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Ensure the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas.
• Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times.
• Regular, reliable and consistent attendance.
• Monitor safety awareness practices among MOA staff and tenants; promptly identify and report any hazardous conditions according to procedure.
• Uphold high personal and professional standards as set forth by the MOA Security Department.
• Utilize quick decision-making skills and sound judgment acting in accordance with MOA Security policy and procedure.
• Ensure proper radio traffic which includes keeping team and leadership informed of all pertinent and activities according to procedure.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations, utilizing rational thinking and decision making.
• Additional duties as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• Ability to work variable and/or rotating shifts, which include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Completion of an in-house training program immediately upon hire.
• Excellent coordination and movement skills
• Good verbal communications skills
• Ability to conduct self in a professional manner
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions

• Be able to meet the physical demands of the position including frequent and sustained standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, crawling and frequent and extensive use of hands and arms.
