Mall of America looking for Internal Maintenance Supervisor at Bloomington, MN  Full Time

PURPOSE: To ensure that guests to the Mall of America have a positive shopping and entertainment experience. This position is accountable for maintenance of the mall common and service areas. Incumbent directly supervises team leaders and team members, and functions as a working supervisor as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Supervises Team Members including, but not limited to: work production, interviewing, selecting, training, task assignment, task inspection, performance evaluation and counseling/discipline.

• Provides support and assistance to other departments as requested.

1. Performs building inspections and develops task lists accordingly.

• Monitors supply requirements and supervise equipment repair and maintenance.
• Analyzes departmental needs, presents possible solutions, and makes recommendations.

• Assists manager in developing and overseeing preventative maintenance programs, while keeping appropriate records.

• Assists manager in preparing and monitoring annual budget. Develops objectives in accordance with manager.

• Develops, schedule, manage, write, and implement scope of works documents for maintenance and Capital projects

• Conducts meetings with Team Leaders and Team Members to ensure open lines of communication and solicit input on Maintenance functions.

• Develops and provides documentation to ensure accurate communication to other supervisors, team leaders, team members, manager and other departments.

• Assists manager with inventory and purchasing duties and annual budgeting.
• Regular, reliable and consistent attendance
• Additional duties as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Five to seven years prior Maintenance experience in similar facility or business.
• Experience with building construction methods, reading of construction documents including repairs and maintenance of building components
• Minimum of two years prior supervisory experience including responsibility for interviewing, training, scheduling, discipline and performance management for a staff of at least 10 subordinates. Experience purchasing Maintenance equipment and supplies is required.
• Effective reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of the safe handling and operation of equipment and materials used in maintenance duties. Ability to perform the physical tasks involved in Maintenance.
