Job Title: Production Supervisor

Reports to: Production Manager

Department: Production

Location: Madison Polymeric Engineering/Cygnus Medical LLC

Responsibilities:  The Production Supervisor performs manufacturing activities in a unionized, industrial production environment.  The Production Supervisor will manage daily production and production operators.  Ability to operate machines in area where assigned (precision cut, clean room, bagging area, etc.) and troubleshoot and handle minor equipment repair.

Education

Requirements: High School diploma or GED equivalent.  Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in manufacturing industry in a lead or supervisory role.  Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  Knowledge of work environment for regulated industry and having mechanical aptitude.  Skills needed include analytical, detail oriented and self-motivated. 

Principal Responsibilities:

• Monitor production operators, ensuring job activities are performed according to procedures
• Provide training to production operators
• Examine products to ensure compliance to company and quality standards
• Observe equipment operations, repair as necessary
• Must be able to document work details at time of work
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Report production outcomes to Production Manager
• Identify, implement and document corrective and preventive actions and assure tasks are completed within required timeframes
• Monitor daily production, performing first-piece, in-process and final inspections as required.  Resolve issues as they arise.
