Our Client is seeking a seasoned Marine Structures Engineer with over 15 years of experience to join our team in any of our Florida locations (Destin, Tampa, or Jacksonville). The chosen candidate will be an asset to our interdisciplinary team consisting of structural, coastal, water resources, and environmental specialists, contributing to the design development and construction of a variety of port/marine terminal and waterfront projects.
**Responsibilities and Tasks: **
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned, and some duties may be shared with other personnel.
Take on a leadership role within the waterfront engineering team to successfully manage multiple projects including ship terminals, seawalls, bulkheads, marine foundations, marinas, piers, docks, and shoreline protection projects.
Prepare drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents for marine facilities construction projects.
Oversee technical aspects of construction projects.
Ensure project completion with high quality, on time, and within budget.
Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Participate in and lead business development activities to seek and secure new waterfront and marine structures clients.
**Minimum Qualification Requirements**
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines; Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines is preferred.
15 years of experience in waterfront and marine structures engineering.
Registration: Florida Professional Engineer (PE) or Florida Structural Engineer (SE).
Experience with dredging and dredged material management systems is a plus.
Familiarity with all applicable regulations and requirements including the International Building Code, Florida Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI 318 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete, AISC Manual of Steel Construction, and the National Design Specification for Wood Construction.
Experience with STAAD PRO, AllPile, LPile, SupportIT, and Ensoft Group or similar software design packages is a plus.
