Job Summary:
Fills and dispenses specialty prescription orders in accordance with laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and to the latest standards of pharmacy practice including those related to accreditation. Reviews all medication orders for clinical appropriateness. Supervises technical staff and participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
Education – Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy or
Doctorate in pharmacy
Experience – Required:
2 years of post graduate experience in patient care or
1 year the completion of a pharmacy residency program.
Experience – Preferred:
5 years of post graduate experience in patient care.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – Required:
Must be efficient with basic computer programs such as e-mail, Skype, and Microsoft Office programs.
Licensure – Required:
Registered Pharmacist PA State Board of Pharmacy. Upon Hire and
Administer Injectables license PA State Board of Pharmacy. Upon Hire
Licensure – Preferred:
BCPS – Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist within 3 Years or
CSP within 3 Years
Influenza vaccination is required at most LVHN facilities for all colleagues with patient contact unless medically contraindicated or due to a bona fide religious belief or practice, and is strongly encouraged for all colleagues.
