Leeds Professional Resources is working with a client in the Orlando area that is looking to bring on an experience accountant in private equity.
This position will be fully remote but they would ideally like someone in Orlando, Miami or in Florida for easy travel purposes.
Below are the responsibilities and qualifications we are looking for in this role:
Responsibilities:
·Manage multiple client relationships while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of client deliverables
·Review and interpret partnership agreements, PPMs and other materials
·Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers
·Prepare and review limited partner and general partner allocations
·Prepare and review trial balances and supporting work papers
·Review capital activity that pertains to the funds including capital calls, distributions, and transfers
·Prepare and review fee calculations including management fees, admin fees, waterfall, claw back, and carried interest calculations
·Prepare and review partner capital statements
·Liaise with internal/external fund service providers
·Coordinate, manage, and monitor external audit process
·Implementation and proper set up of fund structures on accounting system
·Identify system enhancements and reports to improve operational efficiency and/or client service and reduce operational risk
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
·3+ years’ related experience in either a private equity fund, private equity administrator, or other financial institution
·Demonstrated customer service and continuous improvement focus
·Strong knowledge of financial markets and alternative investments
·Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
·Audit/Control Minded
·Familiar with ILPA reporting standards
·Knowledge of the investor accounting and reporting process for private equity funds such as capital calls, transfers, distributions, rebalancing, waterfall calculations, claw backs, carried interest, management fees, side pockets, special allocations, hurdle and catch-up rates, and IRR calculations
·Familiar with investment fund structures such as master/feeder, stand alone, fund of funds
·Experience reading and interpreting fund documents (PPM, LPA, Sub Docs, etc)
·Ability to work in growing, fast-paced work environment
·Knowledge of PFS-Paxus and other industry leading private equity accounting systems (ALLVUE, Investran) preferred
