LCG Inc Looking for Accounting Manager at Rockville, MD Full Time

We are searching for a dynamic Accounting Manager to join our Finance & Accounting team! The Accounting Manager is a member of the FCA team responsible for providing high-level support to facilitate the distribution, management, and documentation of LCG’s financial resources. The work location is in Rockville, MD, at LCG’s headquarters. This position is currently remote and candidates must reside in the local DMV area.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger
• Lead closing process by preparing journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and analysis for month/annual close
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial analysis
• Support the preparation of the DCAA Incurred Cost Submission
• Identify solutions to discrepancies in financial records
• Assist in the establishment of internal controls and policies
• Manage the Honorarium payment reconciliation process
• Manage the corporate credit card process
• Manage the recording process of all entries for direct bank withdrawals
• Assist with preparation for audits
• Reconcile and resolve accounting inaccuracies or imbalances
• Assist with annual budget preparation
• Manage Payroll Administrator and Accounts Payable Specialist
• Perform all other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance
• Excellent working knowledge of GAAP
• 5+ years of Federal Government contracting industry experience
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and data and maintain detailed financial records and files
• Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel and Deltek Costpoint are required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking skills, and ability to work as part of a team
• Strong focus on process improvement to drive efficiencies, mitigate risks
• Demonstrated skill in handling fast-paced and often competing pressures on one’s time
• Confidentiality is required
• Familiarity with ADP’s WorkMarket is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $105,000.00 per year
