Layline Automation Looking for SCADA Engineer at Remote Full Time

Job Summary: Layline Automation is searching for a self-motivated and highly detailed oriented SCADA Engineer. This position provides application solutions, development, integration, and support to clients operating SCADA systems with a focus on utility operations. This role requires a detail oriented, well-organized individual with strong communication skills. Both Entry and Experienced positions performing up moderately complex SCADA related tasks with minimal supervision are available.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Computer Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.

• 4-8 years of Engineering, Operations, IT or other utility experience desired.

• Experience working with SCADA systems (databases, HMI/GUIs, alarming, historization, protocol analyzer)

• Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance.

• Knowledge of operating systems, network topology, telecommunications systems.

• Knowledge of RTSCADA, ADMS, DMS highly desired.

• Graphical user interface (GUI) and design skills desired.

• Familiarity with automation communication protocols (DNP3, PGE 2179, Modbus)

• Knowledge of electrical operating equipment (line reclosers, switches, regulators, etc) highly desired.

• Ability to be self-managing and solve challenging problems independently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop positive relationships with clients.

• Documenting work processes and testing.

• Knowledge of Access or SQL database systems.

• Experience in SAT and commissioning.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience leading a small team

• Experience as technical lead on projects

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

• Configure, test and document SCADA control system devices with a focus on electric utility operations.

• Configure/model SCADA devices in database environment.

• Communicate and collaborate with field technicians for SCADA device commissioning.

• Document device testing, commissioning and release via test sheets and record tracking systems.

• Provide troubleshooting support in analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving problems associated with SCADA systems.

• Available to support 24×7 operations of high availability SCADA systems.

• Comply with NERC CIP policies, cyber security industry best practices, and all client security standards

Salary Range: $100K – $130K

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
