ER nurses learn to quickly triage patients based on immediate observation and acute assessment skills, then to treat symptoms in order of life-threatening priority.
About this unit:
Robust Stroke and STEMI programs, Level III Trauma Center
Variety of patients in a rural setting
The culture that surrounds us in the ER is not only one of great patient care, but the feeling of true support by those who work beside you. Processes are down, with door to doc time of less than 10 minutes, average of 27 patients a day!
Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform all functions of the staff R.N., triage responsibilities, and demonstrates competence with all Emergency Room procedures
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited School/College of Nursing
Self-directed, self-motivated, and works independently.
Demonstrates communication and customer skills, leadership ability, and organization with time management skills.
Computer skills a must for electronic health record documentation
