The CAD Engineer is responsible for support design, development, and product improvement utilizing CAD/drawing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support product design, product development, and product improvement
Manufacturing drawing creating and initial purchase supporting of products
Artwork file generation for artwork screen and lithography mask design
Provide manufacturing support, as needed
Write and update procedures, project plans, and other documentation as required
Mentor team on AutoCAD functions and drafting skills
Assist with training of new team members
Performs other duties as assigned
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
4-year degree in engineering, science, technology + a minimum 6 years of hands on drafting experience
Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings & specifications
Effective time management skills
Accountability to the timelines of task completion
Excellent interpersonal skills
Exceptional multi-tasking skills
Knowledge of polyline, hatch, boundary, block, insert, dimension, offset, viewport, scale, stretch, and trim commands in AutoCAD
Understanding of viewports, workspaces, layer manager, and drawing properties in AutoCAD
Working understanding of Finite Element Analysis
Programming, 3D modelling, CNC, and BobCAD software experience preferred
