Full Job Description

King Cable Construction is looking for a Market Specialist professional with a proven track record in sales in the marketing. The KCC Market Specialist will assist in Business Development of projects and sales in underground construction, directional drilling, missile boring, trenching, GPR, and other KCC business functions.

• In coordination with the Business Development product sales and coordinated site contacts as necessary to build sales for underground construction, and directional drill opportunities.
• Maintains a high level of technical proficiency with all KCC product offerings and market applications. Promotes technologies through seminars, presentations.
• Manages sales as directed by the Business Development Leader and associated budgets consistent with Company objectives.
• Develops, grows, and manages relationships for underground construction and underground directional drill within assigned geography.
• Develops partnerships with key equipment and product manufacturers.
• Attends to all administrative tasks in a timely fashion (expense reports, monthly sales reports, etc.)
• Co-develops pricing and market strategies, estimates potential sales, and identifies distribution/channel issues with the Business Development Leader.
• Travels to tradeshows and/or sales meetings to represent our products and business.
• Applies the principles of our Quality Management System.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in construction project management or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Civil Engineering is preferred. Min of high school diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of the assigned market,/industry and a proven sales record.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and to travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Requires a valid passport and the ability to travel 50% – 80% of the time.
• Ability to work flexible hours due to customer and project demands.
• Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills.
• You must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Use Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as using the Internet.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
