KIDS MATTER INC. looking for Office Coordinator at Milwaukee, WI  Full Time

Responsibilities include:

• Answer and direct phone calls. You’ll talk with clients, volunteers, corporate partners, child welfare professionals, and community members to take messages and provide resources when applicable
• Perform general office tasks such as managing calendars, processing mail, greeting volunteers and clients, organizing receipts, and gift card tracking
• Assist with the processing of staff payroll by collecting and reviewing timesheets
• Support accounting tasks by maintaining and organizing electronic files and spreadsheets
• Serve as in-office point person for technology and coordinate with contracted IT consultants
• Assist with staff meetings and the tracking of staff development and training opportunities
• Support the coordination with community members and organizations who wish to donate items, and support the organization and management of donation inventory for easy distribution
• Assist with event-related tasks, including winter holiday gift giving, back to school backpacks, spring/summer activities, etc.
• Purchase office supplies and printing materials
• Conduct data entry and work on specific projects as part of a team

Qualifications:
This position is largely administrative with some opportunity for growth depending on your skills and interests. Trauma-informed training is useful and will also be provided. Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply.
 

• College degree preferred
• Driver’s license, access to a car and auto insurance preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Must be able to listen empathetically and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
• Must be able to multi-task and independently complete complex administrative tasks
• Must be customer-service oriented and have a friendly and upbeat demeanor

This position is 40 hours/week with wages commensurate with skills and experience. Kids Matter Inc. offers PTO in addition to health insurance and other benefits for full-time staff.
