The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Documenation Specialist to support our government customer located in Albuquerque , NM

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for cataloging documents for DTRA’s Information Analysis Center (DTRIAC). The successful candidate will demonstrate a stable, reliable job history and display an aptitude for learning new processes, and an ability to follow procedures with an attention to detail. This position requires cataloging documents into the archive, conducting in-house research into the archives to support customer requests for information and may require some customer interfacing.

• Provide production cataloguing according to priorities set by the Manager.
• Maintain a standard file naming convention and file structure.
• Ensure by-item traceability and tracking.
• Upload resulting digital files to the Data Lake, unless file sizes (e.g., films) require alternate storage.
• Catalog digitized documents into the archive.
• Conduct in-house research into archive based on customer requests.
• Maintain a clean and food free environment for digitization activities.
• Follow original document preservation best practices.
• Ensure documents are stored and handled in a secure area.
• Repair or clean if needed.
• Evaluate other media items, log markings, and enter database.
• Evaluate newly received documents for integrity and preservation needs.
• Ability to meet production output quotas and quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School Degree required
• Secret Clearence Required

Required Skills, Experience and Education

• 3+ years’ work experience required
• Cataloging/data entry experience a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment required
• Ability to field inquiries and provide courteous and responsive customer service
