The role:
The Amazon Senior Business Development Analyst is a critical role to growing Kao’s Amazon business across all four channels of Amazon. They will be responsible to own portions of the business and find ways to grow. This includes utilizing Amazon data and industry insights to take informed risks, finding ways to reduce chargebacks, and coordinate internally and externally with all partners.
What you will do:
Own the tactical aspects of maintaining and growing Amazon across Vendor Central, Seller Central, B2B, & Fresh.
- Utilize Amazon data portal & other sources to develop regular reports and summaries
- Own and assist in regular maintenance of product and operational catalogs
- Provide assortment recommendations
- Work with Amazon Strategic Account Services representative to resolve issues & grow the business develop and submit merchandising plans
- Work internally to develop packaging opportunities to reduce prep chargebacks and then submit to Amazon for packaging certification
- Coordinate with internal brands, shopper & trade marketing, supply chain teams, and other partners to develop and execute business plans
Customer Development
- Supports sales organization with preparation, analysis & presentation that identifies strategic recommendations for developing & building joint business plans
- Analyzes business trends, & fundamental practices (ie pricing, promotion, inventory planning) for other strategic or tactical customer initiatives that delivers best in class sales & profit growth. Will provide & present strategic recommendations
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Required experience with Amazon Vendor Central or Seller Central
- Preferred 2-5+ years of CPG experience
- Prefer previous sales experience
- Must be able to use Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Plus to have knowledge and experience with ecommerce tools (i.e. Profitero, Stackline, Salsify, etc.)
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $62,000 – $90,000.

Customer Development:
- Supports sales organization with preparation, analysis and presentation that identifies strategic recommendations for developing and building joint business plans.
- Analyzes business trends, and fundamental practices (ie pricing, promotion) for joint business planning reviews and other strategic or tactical customer initiatives that delivers best in class sales and profit growth.
Customer Development continued:
- Will provide and present strategic recommendations and assist in the tactical aspects of Joint business planning.
- Coordinates co marketing initiatives that support the collaborative development of promotional plans.
- Develop strategic e-commerce partnerships and monitor 4-P’s across Kao portfolio.
Kao Development:
- Builds internal understanding of the collaborative JBP through usage and communication of the above data, analysis and tools to continually enhance Kao’s business results and identification of opportunities in sales and profits within our strategic customer.
- Will often present business observations and provide input/recommendations to customer sales team.
Marketing Linkage:
- Assists in the development and execution of brand strategies within the customer JBP.
- Specializes in the sales and profit analysis that influence both Kao and the customers collaborative plan.
- Shares knowledge of customer marketing best practices and initiatives and provides analytical insight to develop and build sales and profit.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years of previous experience in category management, sales analysis, or marketing analysis in the consumer products industry
- Proficient in AC Nielsen, Household Panel, Retail Link, Spectra, IRI
20% business travel is required
