About This Role:
Facilities custodial service is looking for a Custodial Manager with dynamic leadership abilities. This position is responsible for Departmental Management: Identify problems and implement solutions to a variety of technical and personnel issues impacting campus custodial department within 6.5 million square feet of teaching, research, lab and office space. Training & Compliance: Ensures compliance with University standards and applicable regulatory codes ( i.e.; EPA, OSHA, KDHE) to maintain a safe environment for students, staff and faculty. Develops and implements programs necessary for the improvement of custodial operations, including standards and personnel training programs. Fiscal & Resource Responsibility: Operates services within authorized budget; evaluates fiscal needs, establishes priority spending, creates effective cost controls, manages the fiscal resources in a prudent manner. Business Continuity: Regularly communicates with campus partners to address issues affecting the appearance, cleanliness, safety and working environment of students, faculty, and staff.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma and three years of relevant experience with two years of experience at the supervisory level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong human relations abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Experience in inventory and budgeting preferred
- Proficiency with a personal computer with an emphasis on spreadsheets and word documents
- Working knowledge of custodial services and industry
Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
- Valid driver’s license required. Completion of KSU Introduction to Supervision program within the initial probationary period.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:
Annual $41,388 to $52,764/Hourly $19.90 to $25.37
