Responsible for administering human resources policies, programs, practices, and functions in conjunction with the human resources director.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
LICENSE/PERMITS REQUIRED: Valid driver’s license.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to maintain own office to include typing, filing, computer, telephone and fax.
KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE: Microsoft Office for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, ADP, Dymo Label Maker, Fax/Copy Machine, and HRIS system.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 years HR experience in a Resort or Hotel setting preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Heavy work – Exerting up to 30 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Worker’s Compensation Administration to include:
Investigation and documentation regarding all incidents and accidents
Light Duty Assignments, documentation and management
MCO and TPA documentation and communications
Represent company at appeal or additional claim hearings
Administration of all Discount Plans including 10-step Program, Premium Discount Plus Program and Safety Discount Plan Author and Management
Act as a Safety Council Representative
Provide annual BWC audits
Apply for state funds by writing grants targeting property specific safety issues, i.e. 10K for the new kitchen floors
Administration and management of Company Benefits:
Enrollments/Terminations
Annual open enrollment, contract negotiations and RFQs
Plan administration
Event changes
Monthly invoice reconciliation
COBRA compliance
Administration and management of Ancillary benefits:
Enrollments/Terminations
Annual contract negotiations and RFQs
Plan administration
Event changes
Monthly invoice reconciliation
COBRA compliance
Administration and management of CSEA Compliance benefits
OSHA accident/injury reporting and yearly reporting
Blood-borne exposure plan administration
FMLA Certification, compliance and tracking
Leave of Absence administration including personal and military, compliance and tracking
Associate relations and stress counseling
Department PO and Budget Check Book administration/reconciliation
Manage Shoes for Crews Associate Safety Program
Practice and be a role model for Living the Kalahari Promise.
Other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director
Keep well informed of Kalahari products and services and be able to share this information with associates and guests.
