Who we are looking for: 

Are you the Residential Counselor we have been looking for? River’s Edge Group Home serves youth and young adults with developmental disorders who have experienced disruptive life events.

All clients living in JRI Connecticut Group Homes receive 24/7 supervision and therapeutic support to help them develop daily living skills and navigate their community. Clients attend school, work, or vocational programs outside of the home. 

JRI provides the training so that:  

• YOU will support the development and growth of young adults who have experienced significant emotional challenges. 
• YOU will maintain the consistent, structured routines of the program while also providing safety and regulation through supervision and direct care. 
• YOU will perform direct care responsibilities within the group home. 
• YOU will provide direct supervision of students within the group home while maintaining the safety and security procedures as outlined by agency and program policy and procedures. 
• YOU will lead by example and role model for all staff and students appropriate professional behavior within a group home setting.  
• YOU will handle special projects as assigned by the Administrative Team. 
• YOU will provide coverage during third shift.

Requirements: 

• Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicants with some college education and experience are preferred. 
• Applicants must maintain a valid driver’s license.  
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.
