The Mechanic Operator role is responsible for operating and maintaining assigned equipment
This is a third shift position with hours from 10:45pm – 7:15am

Responsibilities
• Operate an assigned equipment Center(s)/line
• Operate an electric floor jack
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment
• Learn and understand all SOPs for maintenance and operator positions
• Execute work orders, special projects, rebuilds, and installations
• Repair and start up the line as quickly as possible
• Develop a working knowledge of basic maintenance principles
• Execute PMs and focus on project work installation
• Work with vendors for start up, improvement, and modification of equipment
• Train technicians on equipment standards and technical training modules
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least one (1) year of technical level class work required from an accredited technical school
• At least 1-3 years of experience as an entry-level mechanic or technical apprenticeship
• Sound problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement methods
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to train others
• Desired qualification: Technical level degree in industrial maintenance
