Your Impact:
As an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager, you will be responsible for using established principles, procedures and policies to manage IT project from conception through completion. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, performing the following activities and tasks: assisting business analysts to determine the rough order of magnitude of potential efforts; assessing the critical path through a series of tasks, and performing analysis to determine the pessimistic, most likely, and optimistic scenarios, as well as suggesting the skill and experience levels of required human resources. The Project Manager is expected to oversee all aspects of the approved project, to identify and (if possible) remediate risks, to resolve issues as they arise, and to be the primary point of contact for the assigned Business Sponsor. The Project Manager is expected to effectively and efficiently guide all aspects of a project from start to finish, with the ideal goal of delivering the outcome on time and within budget.
Primary customer: United States Transportation Command on Scott AFB and geographically separated entities. Reporting will be within Jacobs ITSM contract/leadership and government customers in the IT/cyber community. Ability to lead major initiatives across several teams with competing priorities. Work closely within the small Project Management Organization team. Provide weekly, monthly and annual reporting/briefings to ensure communication and level of understanding is clear and concise to the customer.

Physical Requirements
Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.
Work Environment
Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).
Equipment and Machines
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.
Attendance
Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%).
