[email protected].The IAFF-FC provides financial and insurance products and banking services, including residential mortgages, retirement solutions, and wealth management programs through well-established service providers to IAFF members and their families, across the United States and Canada.
Key responsibilities and duties of the IAFF-FC COO include:
Oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of the IAFF-FC, reporting directly to the IAFF General President, who is the CEO of the IAFF-FC, and the IAFF General Secretary-Treasurer, who is the CFO of the IAFF-FC. Provides supervision for a cadre of full-time and contracted employees who work to further the business relations between IAFF members and the corporations in the IAFF-FC family. Oversees the financial transactions of the IAFF-FC. Reviews and negotiates contracts between the IAFF-FC and its subsidiary partners. Continually seeks ways to enhance business relationships to further meet the needs of IAFF members and seeks new opportunities for additional partnerships where opportunities arise. Performs duties that require comprehensive knowledge of organizational leadership, policies, practices, and procedures.
Requires excellent communication skills. Typical tasks may include preparing and tracking an annual budget, preparing correspondence, maintaining files, database entry and maintenance, and answering and screening phone calls, emails, web correspondence, and requests.
