Medical Assistant Position Details:

Type: 13 weeks contract

Shift Start Time: Day 5×8-Hour s or 4×9-hours

Location: Seattle, WA

Responsibilities:

• Assisting healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures.
• Taking patient histories and vital signs.
• Preparing and maintaining examination rooms.
• Administering medications and injections as directed by physicians.
• Collecting and processing laboratory specimens.
• Performing basic laboratory tests.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and patient information.
• Providing patient education and answering questions.
• Ensuring a clean and organized healthcare environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Active Washington (WA) Medical Assistant certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience, preferably in oncology or hematology.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, administering injections, and other clinical procedures.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Two professional references are required. Charge RNs are accepted.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced Hospital environment.
• Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
